The Opportunity

We are seeking a highly-skilled, experienced Engineering Manager to join our  expanding Engineering team. You will be a part of the Applications team, primarily  responsible for establishing the strategic technical direction, leading customer focus  products and actively driving the execution of the strategy across many Dataorb’s product  areas taking care of the assignments and Lead and managing the team related to  transforming the designs into code in one of the Front End JavaScript Frameworks. You  should have a sense of design to point out the design gaps and give your valuable  feedback to the design team. You will contribute to establish the best practices, follow  them and motivate others as well to do the same. This role offers a unique opportunity to  work with cutting-edge technologies applied to one-of-a-kind business problems. The  ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, exceptional leadership skills, and  a proven track record of managing high-performing engineering teams.

Core Responsibilities

• Lead a team of Developers  
• Architect, Design and develop high quality and deploy and maintain highly  scalable and optimized mission critical applications with unit test cases,  meeting given specifications.  
• Create Documentation, sequence diagram and other low-level design artefacts.  
• Perform code analysis, peer reviews, requirements analysis, software review,  system risk analysis and software reliability analysis.  
• Ensures the developed code covers the non-functional requirements including  performance, security, auditing and integrity.  
• Resolve production incidents or defects as needed, and proactively identify  potential issues. before they appear in the production environment; contribute  to the root cause analysis.  
• Drive high performance and accountability for own deliverables. Work well  within a team and always work for team success by supporting other team members, constructively acting on feedback, and identifying challenging  opportunities that enhance career growth.  
• Contribute in defining secure coding standards, and work in a team to follow  best practices to ensure compliance with standards, quality, scalability and  security of deliverables.  
• Tackle challenges and solve complex problems on a daily basis.  
• You will interact with various stakeholders and work with cross-technical  teams across the design, coding, testing, production deployment, and  third party product implementation processes.  
• Unit-test code for robustness, including edge cases, usability, and general  reliability.  
• You will work on resolving production issues, analyze root cause issues and  provide resolution in a timely manner

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years’ experience in Front End Development, working with large,  complex projects  
• Passion for innovation and motivating others to adopt new technologies  
• Proficient in CSS and Vanilla JS in the context of workflows and requirements  
• Experience using Angular or other similar frameworks (such as  Backbone.js, Ember.js, AngularJS, ReactJS, ...)  
• Experience with web interface development and frameworks (Ajax, Angular,  JQuery, and similar)  
• Comfortable with source version control software and package managers  (SVN, Git, NPM)  
• Knowledge of HTML5, DOM traversal/manipulation and event capturing,  jQuery, CSS  
• Knowledge of Microservice architecture, monorepo.  
• Knowledge of of AWS Cloud and micro frontend architecture  
• Demonstrated strong critical thinker  
• Detail oriented and organized  

Desired Experience

• Background in working on SaaS products
• Experience with AI/ML products
• Enterprise Frontend Engineer experience

Educational Requirements

Bachelor's Or Master’s degree in one of the following fields:

• Bachelor of Computer Science
• Bachelor of Engineering (Information Technology)
• Masters of Computer Science
• Master of Engineering (Information Technology)

OR

Equivalent professional experience in Frontend Engineer (typically 5+ additional years of hands-on experience beyond the base requirement)
